Appendix Surgeries

An appendectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the appendix. The appendix is a small tubular structure attached to the large intestine in the lower right part of the abdomen. Appendectomy is usually performed urgently to treat appendicitis, an inflammation of the appendix.
